Kilchoman Machir Bay Single Malt Scotch Whisky is the flagship expression from Islay's Kilchoman Distillery, renowned for its harmonious balance of rich fruitiness and smoky butterscotch. Named after Islay’s most spectacular beach, Machir Bay is a vatting of Kilchoman matured in both bourbon and sherry casks. The nose offers lemon zest, vanilla, and a distinct coastal influence, giving way to floral intensity, juicy peaches, pears, and wafts of rich spices. On the palate, bursts of tropical fruit and dried sultanas are complemented by warming smoke and waves of honey, malt, butterscotch, and rich sweetness. The finish is long-lasting, with layers of citrus sweetness and maritime peat smoke. This award-winning peated single malt exemplifies the distillery's dedication to traditional whisky-making methods and the unique character of Islay. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and natural in color.
