La Gritona Reposado Tequila, 750mL

La Gritona Reposado Tequila is a distinctive spirit crafted by master distiller Melly Cardenas in the highlands of Jalisco, Mexico. Made from 100% Blue Weber Agave, the plants are harvested at peak maturity and processed promptly to preserve their natural flavors. The agave is steam-cooked in traditional earthen ovens for 24 hours, rested, and then crushed. Fermentation occurs in open-air steel vats, influenced by the natural ambient temperature. The tequila is double-distilled and aged for 8 months in reclaimed American oak barrels, resulting in a reposado that retains the pure essence of the agave with minimal wood influence.

On the nose, it offers vegetal notes with hints of caramelized fruit, ginger, and pepper. The palate is characterized by a fresh, green agave flavor complemented by subtle undertones of citrus and a touch of minerality. The finish is round and smooth, making it an excellent choice for sipping neat or enjoying alongside a cold beer.
